In 2003 he founded 'Puttbill' with Maria Guitart Ferrer as a label for their picture book parables; today Puttbill also represents narrative drawings and paintings.

The focus of the artistic work is dedicated to the themes of perishing and valuation('Neophytenplasma - Idols of Waste & Tedium Relics', Berlin 2007) and the deterritorialization of iconic and symbolic meaning ('Welcome the Stranger', Berlin 2008).
Pestemer works and lives in Berlin.
